Pee Powered Battery
Yes, a fellow named Ki Bang Lee from the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology created a prototype of a urine-activated paper battery. If you want the details of his creation, you can read his abstract, but the upshot is thebattery produces power comparable to an AA cell for about 90 minutes. Lee sees potential for them being used in "bioMEMS devices such as home-based health test kits providing a power source for the electronic circuit."

I read that at the link but was a bit distressed with other stuff there. Did you see the rat with the wires coming out his head?  That best be a gag and not real the poor wee thing.
Just as frightful was the ankles with the mobiles strapped to them. How could any woman have a lovely pair of pumps on and strap a mobile to their ankle? They must be out their bloody minds! What a fashion fopa! 
erm I'll stick to regular batteries by the way. I'd not want piss in my mouse or keyboard or anything else I use with batteries lol Good idea though! |

Sadly, I don't think the rat was a gag, but I don't know for sure.
The mobile straps blew my mind! That was tacky beyond belief! I have a hard enough time seeing people wear them constantly on their belts!
They truly come up with some weird stuff in this world. |
