I thought GG was very unfair to the caller about the 9/11 dancing Israelis, Firstly he claimed to already know about this story, giving the impression he was familiar with the details when clearly he is not, and secondly despite being challenged by a polite & reasonable caller, who threw the ball back in his court about his own CT about the death of Yasser Arafat being based on no concrete evidence, he wasn’t gracious enough to refrain from labelling (by implication) that the Caller as a conspiracy nutter.
The case of the "Dancing Israelis" is actually very well documented, not only by mainstream agencies, but also by the Israelis themselves. The “Dancing Israelis” story was reported in the NYT, FoxNews, Al Jazreea, etc, and the individuals concerned were interviewed in several Israeli newspapers when they got back after being held in US custody for over 70 days; there’s even a TV clip of them (back in Israel) on YouTube in which they admit that they were there in order to record the 9/11 attack as it happened !;
I feel that GG is so over the top concerned with the fear of possible loss of creditability if he evens says anything that can in anyway be associated with supporting a 9/11 CT, that it is causing him to be uncharacteristically, both uncivil & narrow minded on this issue.
I've noticed he seems to go out of his way to not say anything that could be interpretted as anti-semitic by the rabid zionist media. Can't blame him, having seen some of the idiotic things people say about the man after he's spent his whole life fighting racism. I agree he could be a bit more accomodating to conspiracy theorists though.
I've often thought that he was blind in regards to dreadfully large conspiracies, his denial of the Bilderberg group's effect on global matters just last night being an example, but I'm in agreement with him tonight that daily issues of people dying as a result of these incidents are more important to solve in the short term.
But how is not getting to the truth of 9/11 saving more lives than exposing it ? Surely if the truth of such a pivoted event, which has directly & indirect lead, (and more importantly is still leading), to such a horrendous loss of lives, is not revealed, then the chances are something similar could easily be allowed to happen again. If any of the main CTs were to be proven tomorrow, there is no way Iran would be attacked, and there would also be a fast withdrawal from Iraq, probably from Afghanistan as well.
It is from knowing the Truth that will really help save lives.
You're right of course, but that can only work on the assumption that the mass audience/electorate are easily swayed. Sadly that's not the case though - these things can only be changed on a meaningful level at a painfully slow speed that is directly linked to public opinion trickling down to the politicians who can actually take the necessary steps.
I'd say the fact that people are dying today as a result of what happened is still more important than whoever caused it.
I don’t like disagreeing with you Faceless, but it’s hardly a big assumption that the Public could be “swayed”, as very high percentages, and sometimes even the majority, of polls or surveys conducted both in the US and elsewhere, indicated a lot of the Public do NOT believe the official 9/11 version.
I repeat that the faster way to stop people dying today, would be for one of the main CT of 9/11 to be proven true, as the outrage it would cause would put all the Neocons in jail, and cause a very abrupt end to the phony “War on Terror”. This is never going to happen if people like GG deliberately gloss over very glaring inconsistencies, and brand who those that seek to question those inconsistencies as CT nutters.
(Incidentally Popinjay, although I feel that you may be right about GG being ultra careful not to say anything (more than necessary in view of his well known views!) that could be misinterpreted as anti Semitic, the irony is that his own CT about the death of Yassar Arafat being caused by Mossad, (which unlike the “Dancing Israelis” has never been reported on mainstream agencies), is equally open to the charge of anti-Semitism, as of course almost anything is for Zionists.
Feel free to disagree as much as you like Micky - you've got good points that may well be the truth. I'm only interested in people not being blown apart by A10 tank-busters flown by blood-thirsty maniacs obeying orders from murderous commanders, or by cars packed full of explosives driven by desperate people obeying orders from their murderous commanders.
We are all interested in stopping people being killed as quickly as possible, all I’m saying is that maybe the quickest way this could happen would be IF any of the CTs were shown to be true, in that the Neocon either planned or deliberately allowed 9/11 to happened. The reaction & outrage would be overwhelming, and would put an immediate halt on US military activities in the ME. Surely this is a goal worth more than dismissing out of hand all 9/11CTs, as impossible crackpot theories. After all just go back three years and consider that if somebody would have suggested to you that the two leaders of the Western World would conspire & lie to make an illegal case for war, you would have probably have thought them a Conspiracy Loony !
(I’ve just remembered that in addition to the death of Arafat, GG also espoused a belief in another CT concerning the killing of Robert Kennedy. I’ve not come across that one before; I wonder where he got that from, maybe the recent film he saw ? )

I've followed this story since way-back-when. I had read the recent story at Democracy Now on February 08, 2007, but was unaware of the second part of the interview. I wanted to thank you for that link.
