SOCCER bad boy El-Hadji Diouf has been arrested for allegedly beating up his wife in a drunken rage at their home.
The Bolton star, 25, is said to have trashed the house and lashed out at wife Valerie after a drinking binge.
Diouf went out boozing on Saturday night following his team?s 1-0 defeat in their local derby with rivals Wigan.
Police were called by Valerie to their home in Bolton at 6.45am on Sunday where they arrested the Premiership striker.
She is said to have suffered a cut lip in the fracas and has gone back to family in France.
Diouf was bailed and must go back to police tomorrow to see if he will be charged with assault.
The Senegal international ? a former African Player of the Year ? has been in trouble before for SPITTING at fans and players.
And he has also been arrested previously for drink driving. His wife Valerie only recently joined him at the couple?s Bolton home after moving from France where he used to play for Lens.
He signed for Liverpool in a ?10million transfer in 2002.
But the Reds released Diouf two years later following a string of disciplinary incidents.
In one he was fined ?5,000 by Glasgow?s Sheriff Court after pleading guilty to assault for spitting at Celtic fans in a UEFA Cup quarter-final with Liverpool.
Then in November last year Diouf was fined ?500 by Teesside Magistrates for spitting at an 11-year-old Middlesbrough fan.
And he was granted legal aid despite earning ?40,000 a week.
Soon afterwards he was fined by the FA for spitting at Portsmouth?s Arjan De Zeeuw. And earlier this year Diouf was alleged to have spat at a Big Issue seller outside London?s trendy Chinawhite club.
But this latest incident could finally spell the end of Diouf?s career in English football.
Although his wife Valerie later dropped her complaint, Greater Manchester Police collected photographic and medical evidence.
Sources say they may consider charges under Domestic Violence policy whatever the position of Diouf?s wife in giving evidence.
A GMP spokeswoman said: ?Police were called to an address in Bolton after reports of an assault. A 25-year-old man was arrested.?
* POLICE are investigating Liverpool star Momo Sissoko, 21, who is accused of punching a man in a 3.30am fight at a fast food joint in Wavertree, Liverpool.

What a bloody cock that Diouf is. I'd love to see someone knock his teeth down his throat with this filthy spitting shit he does.
He has to be one of the lowest class pieces of dirt I've heard of, and I hope he ends up with no career left as he doesn't deserve one.
Why in hell should he be getting legal aid? He's not skint by any means? Isn't that complete abuse of the system? |

That's pretty shocking for sure - his lawyer must be some piece of work to have suggested that. |
