As kids we would go "guisin'" round local houses... it wasn't so much trick or treat, as the people could ask you to do something to earn your treat - like sing a song or tell a joke or whatever.
I remember getting my first nerves at performing in front of two old biddies who wanted me to sing a song for a handful of peanuts or something... haha |
