You’ll recall that Humyo was acquired by Trend Micro last year.The humyo service is very expensive to run and Trend Micro made the investment we needed to keep your service running for 18 months.

Since then we’ve been able to launch two new data storage sites in the US and Germany, apps for iPhone, iPad and Android and utilise Trend Micro’s encryption technology to guarantee security.We’re also proud to announce version 5.0 of our sync software for Windows and Mac.

As a user of our basic Humyo Free service, you’ve not benefited from those innovations but we’re almost ready to upgrade your Humyo Free account to a Trend Micro SafeSync 50GB account.The switch will happen on or just after 23rd November 2011 and you won’t need to lift a finger.

As well as continuing to access your files on our website, you’ll be able to install the SafeSync software and experience the convenience and security of having your files automatically synced to all your devices!

Your Trend Micro SafeSync account will be free until 1st July 2012.Following that, SafeSync costs as little as £24.95/year. We’re sorry that we’re unable to continue to provide your service completely free of charge.We hope you’ll enjoy the premium SafeSync experience and if you don’t want to pay, you can get an extra month free for each of your friends you get to try SafeSync!
