they're pretty cool those wee boxes, but as is mentioned, you'd be as well with a Wii or Xbox. I still use my original Xbox to watch movies that I've downloaded on the big(ger) tv. |

In the past, I've used my xbox to watch movies. But the fan noise was too distracting. Several months ago, I purchased a Patriot Box Office (PBO). Cost was $50-60. If you place a (2.5") hard drive inside, you can copy content to it from a PC like a removable hard drive. Or you can connect a network cable to the back and stream content from your home network. Or you can purchase the add-on wi-fi dongle ($20) and connect to your home network wirelessly.
I don't think it supports any streaming internet services, but as a media player, it's my new favourite piece of hardware.
