here's the FIFA Fair Play Code

Quote:
Winning is without value if victory has been achieved unfairly or dishonestly. Cheating is easy, but brings no pleasure. Playing fair requires courage and character. It is also more satisfying. Fair play always has its reward, even when the game is lost. Playing fair earns respect, while cheating only brings shame. Remember: it is only a game. And games are pointless unless played fairly.

Mad

Allors !!

Oh, yea, here's the "goal" ..

edit, they've removed the original, something called copyright - wtf issat ?

Just like the commentator said, it looks like he redirected the ball with his hand. Some sort of replay is needed, I think....

that's the first of the clip I've seen - it's just blatant cheating! The Irish FA have put in an official complaint to FIFA about it. Henry should be banned for at least a few games and fined. He used to have va-va-voom, now he's a wa-wa-wank!

I used to think that Henry had gotten out of Arsenal without too much stink, but I see know that I was wrong....Once a Gooner always a Gooner....sad, really, he could have been a class player.

Even though he has admitted he cheated?????

"once a gooner always a gooner" what a load of shite. He's a footballer who plays for the team he's with at the time, a bit like any footy boy - unless he's local - maybe not , look at Rooney - once a toffee always a toffee - I think not. Fuck 'em there's no passion for the team any more only the bag of cash at the end of the day.

Well, just like any other sport, that is what we, the fans, have allowed it to become. If we wanted a different outcome, we shouldn't allow our children to idolize players like Ronaldo and Rooney who cheat by diving, or act disrespectfully to the ref byganging up around him and arguing every call. We shouldn't have demanded immediate results when new players or managers are brought in, we should allow them to "get their act" together so to speak before demanding their heads on spikes for not performing. We made it about money as well as the players.

Henry, historically has not been that kind of player, but in my opinion, as a Spurs fan, it is down to bad habits he learned while playing for Arsenal. They are the root of all evil.

This annoys the most because it would be the easiest to stop, if they just implemented a zero tolerance rule for this and started handing out cards for anyone who even said "but" to the ref.

I agree Funky, it drives me crazy. When it truly was the beautiful game, no one said sh*t to a ref but "thank you sir, may I have another" and that is how it should be, but teams like ManUre, Chleski and the Arse have all thrown that almighty pound around...I don't thinks refs should decide a game but I think they should control it. When it comes to the rules, the big 4 are no different to any of us, but because they generate so much money, they have been allowed to get away with murder...literally because they have murdered our beautiful game.
