The Walking Dead
game 1 of 5

I'm playing this now and it's started off pretty well. It seems to be a point and click adventure, but there's plenty of action so far.

Dead Island

I just got this and am really enjoying it. I've been through a load of Zombie based games lately and this is one of the best so far. I like the fact that weapons are hard to find and that they wear out after a certain amount of ZOMBIE SPLATTING.

There's a good feel to the game and I'm reminded of the original Far Cry when I play it. One downside is the continued existence of zombies in an area if you've killed them while not on a specific mission. When I take the head off a zombie I expect them to stay chopped!

Dead Island is on sale on Steam today for 60% off. I just bought it, after reading many positive comments on the Steam forums. Anyone fancy a bit of multiplayer this week-end?

I've never played a game like this online and I'd be up for trying - but I'm not sure if my version will work. I think it's, ahem, broken...

Ah, well if it's.. err... broken, then I doubt it will work online. Shame. I was looking forward to hiding behind you while you took care of business, maybe with a bit of voice chat so I could explain just where you were going wrong ;)

I almost exclusively play multiplayer online stuff (though Skyrim tempted me away for a while). I usually get hundreds of hours from the investment, so it's worth it for me not to try to get "damaged goods" and try to find a way to fix them to play online.

Did you try the free Tribes Ascend from an earlier post of mine? I was so impressed that I payed the max of €40, just to support the company really. You really don't need to pay a penny though to enjoy it. I've hardly spent any of the gold that I got from paying for a premium account, as I buy stuff just from the XP earned by playing (I've got about half a million xp at the mo).

"A woman and her child were walking past one of our zombies and the woman screamed out loud and started cursing at our zombie. It was hilarious."
