Liberty, equality and fraternity - as long as you're exactly the same as us.
If the law does come in, I hope it applies to Catholic veils, Jewish wigs and Rasta dreads and also makes sure that everyone dresses in a nice business suit too.
People choosing their own values simply will not do! |

I understand the need to have your face visible for a passport photo, security reasons etc. But other than that, I really think that people should be left to their own devices as to what they want to wear. I think you said it right face when you said "Liberty, equality and fraternity -- as long as you're exactly the same as us". Let people wear what they want.
Some would say that school uniforms also come into play here. I know that in Canada, there are very few schools that use them. Some of the private schools do, and a couple of catholic high schools here do, but beyond that, kids wear what they want. |

i'm completely opposed to a government saying what someone can or can't wear, that goes for burkas, male goth wear and burberry check, and i find the last two way more offensive than the first. |
