Could somebody please tell us what this means for the average person eg is Australia's stock market huge compared to Russia's ? what is 'free-float equity market capitalisation' and what relevance has it to us ? why is the UK attributed a larger number than Germany ? Confused shake hands

I suppose it's a comparison of values on those markets, but it's meaningless really; bankers don't care where they live.
