(http://www.reliefweb.int/rw/rwb.nsf/db900SID/ACOS-64D29B?OpenDocument); she is also married to a Georgian.

It doesn't take a superhuman to be polite in a situation where you're not being challenged in anything other than a patient manner... if anything I'd want him to be just like any other normal human and apologise when he's wrong.

No matter what Mrs Dragadze is, he made an assumption about her and used that assumption in an attempt to degrade her by suggesting that all Georgians are ultra-nationalists - which is a false statement to make even if she had been Georgian.

I never for a second put GG on a pedestal.....I've simply said that I felt more akin to his previous stances and think that his recent behaviour has been less than what he would expect from others towards him. The german joke and his treatment of Mrs Dragadze are prime examples of that. It's not expecting anyone to be superhuman by asking for basic manners, for them not to jump to conclusions about ethnicity or origins about another person or to at least listen to the points they are making without interuption.

I didn’t state that it requires a superhuman to be polite & courteous, but rather that to expect somebody to have immaculate behaviour 100% of the time, or to never have inconsistencies, is rather asking too much of anybody.

I suspect that GG already knew all about Tamara’s background, especially as she already been on Talksport before; GG is normally well briefed about people that he is expecting to argue with, so believing that GG had a (correct) assumption about Tamara is probably a (false) assumption itself.

I don't believe he was expecting her to challenge him at all. He started out all very polite then changed face when he misunderstood her point about Churchill and it was downhill from there.

I completely realise that Galloway is just human like anyone else, but he is in a position where accepting his mistakes should be part of the deal.

Again I have to say your reading far too much into my comments...I never said I expected anyone let alone GG to be 100% perfect all of the time. However he has been increasingly rude and downright wrong at times and has as yet to apologise or admit that. You can read some of the other threads for many examples of this.

I just checked back on this thread and am somewhat surprised to find that only 9 people have voted....nearly 500 members and while I know that not all will be interested in the Galloway threads I would have thought more would have opined on this.

Any reasons why not if not?

only about 20% of the regular users come into this section - and you need to bear in mind that a lot of the 500 members have come and gone over the past 30 months or so.

That's an interesting stat Faceless...only 20% eh? For some reason I would have thought it would have been much higher...no reason why now that I think of it.

How many active members (visit a least once a week) are there?

To be honest that's specific info that I don't want to give out. There are between 5 and 10000 individual visitors a month though.

Fairy Nuff....I realised that was maybe a bit rude asking that after I had posted it...just curiosity though nothing more.
