I've not been able to listen
to today's show (who's up at 10am on Hogmanay?!) but the general
gist of the programme is about the state of Britain's railways
and later in the show - a swaggering segue into discussion of
binge-drinking... Happy New Year to all active members who make
the site what it is and to those of you who just come for the
downloads but never say anything... it really makes it seem
worthwhile to provide you with content!

The main focus of Sunday's
show was Benazir Bhutto again - with a lot more detail on her
background and ideas.

Tonight's show was focused
again on dangerous dogs. The picture above is of a child who was
killed by a rottweiler yesterday... I'm a big guy, but even I
know that a rottie is a tough nut. I actually punched one once
when it attacked my own dog (a labrador-whippet cross) - it
looked apologetic, but meh - who needs a dog that can kill?

Tonight's show was almost
completely about Benazir Bhutto and the political situation in
Pakistan. One call that showed Galloway 'marking the card' of
someone whose attitude suggested he supported Bin Laden should
be used as an example in future to people who say that Galloway
supports terrorism.

Today's show was broadcast
just a short while before the news that Benazir Bhutto had been
assassinated was reported... there was some interesting talk
none-the-less with discussion of a mosque in Oxford using
loudspeakers and also of the fox-hunting issue.

Tonight's show was pretty
festive, with a live studio appearance for the first 2
hours by Karl from Plaistow and also Galloway singing 3 songs.
It could have been a disaster... but it wasn't! Check this
thread for separate downloads of Galloway singing.

I've not had the chance to
listen to this show yet, but the few bits I hears suggested that
Galloway's doing a review of the year that's ending...

Pigs again, this time feeding
at the trough - and when you hear tonight's show you'll probably
appreciate the connection as I see it. As Galloway pointed out
tonight, most MPs are tossers... though I'd call more than half
of them a lot worse than that.

With Tony Blair's conversion
to Catholicism now official tonight's show had some great input
and calls. My level of respect for Monsignor Bruce Kent grew
even higher on hearing his comments about the Church being more
interested in power than people.

Most of tonight's show was
given over to talk about prostitution. It was originally
intended to be a programme about censorship, but the diversion
was well worth it. The call from 'Eve' in the final hour was
particularly interesting.

There was a return to a more
musical theme tonight, with the idea to discuss the top 5 women
of the 20th century. My favourite woman is above - you may not
know her, but she did wonders for me!

The main theme for tonight's
show was Galloway's assertion that over the Christmas period
(when he will be covering a few other presenters' spots) he will
be making a point of campaigning for dogs which could kill or
maim to be muzzled - this was on the back of a story about how a
woman who was in charge of a 'rescued dog' attacked her...
There was one caller who said he couldn't find a muzzle for his
dog that fitted, but the picture above shows clearly that it can
be done if the desire is there.

There were two main themes to
tonight's show - the state of the planet and the situation in
Kosovo. Both discussions proved interesting and the usual
Saturday night maniacs seemed to be sleeping it off... I removed
most of the boxing interludes, so the show's a bit shorter than
usual.

Tonight's show started with an
excellent guest - the Venezuelan ambassador to the UK. This made
for some clear cut points made that should upset many a
nay-sayer... most of the rest of the show was given over to talk
about prisons and sentencing. There was supposed to be a lot of
talk about the Global Warming awareness demonstration in London
tomorrow, but it only got a small mention at the end...

given over to discussion of religion and also to the call this
week for Wales to represented in the UK flag.
