I missed Sunday's show, so had to grab the Spidered News version again - it's edited down. The main features of the show is the potential for an election to be called in the UK, and Galloway having to go off the air while the campaign is under way.

Saturday's show became mainly about the smear campaign brought about by Rangers fans against Jock Stein, the former manager of Celtic. I was once told to "sit down and stop arsin' about!" by Stein as a kid, and have always thought he was a good man, so to hear that he's being dragged through the mud by arseholes is pretty disgusting. Galloway managed to drag some of the very worst bigots out of the woodwork with this feature - 'You dirty, filthy bigot'.. classic.

Most of tonight's early discussion was about the situation in Myanmar, but it moved onto discussion about the Stop the War march being banned on October the 8th fairly soon, and then into the usual hatemail that spices up the show! It was interesting to hear Galloway describe Ken Livingston as a sociopath... I've a feeling he might be referring back to that in future.

I missed Sunday's show, so this recording is the one from Spidered News, though I've edited the ads and news out.

The musical theme for tonight was the works of Phil Spector -  I had no idea how much influence he'd had over so many famous songs. Even if he is a murderer, I have to admire his hair - who wouldn't?!

I've reuploaded all the shows for September and August to mediafire, so if you want those files they're all there now. I'll work on going back through the archive to restore live links for the rest over the next while.

Friday's programme had the mix of subjects and generally rabid callers that usually only happen on a Saturday show, but it made for some good listening. Halfway through I got a random phone call from someone asking that I explain Galloway's antics on Big Brother... how strange. Galloway seemed to be bigging himself up a bit with the musical choices, though the fact that Simply the Best is a well-known Rangers theme suggests he might have been taking the piss a bit... here's hoping anyway!

Note - tonight's show (and all future ones) is stored on www.mediafire.com - this way the files will be apparently permanent.

Galloway gets his chance to live like a toff for a few days and learn the art of horse-riding in the ITV1 celebrity game show, 'Don't Call Me Stupid'. It was quite good fun, and I for one wouldn't mind having to spend a few days in the company of Victoria Hervey... cor blimey!

This evening's show commemorates the 25th anniversary of the massacres in Shatila and Sabra. I didn't manage to hear it all myself yet, and I missed the first couple of minutes too... apologies

Tonight's show started on a pretty dark note as Galloway mistakenly suggested that Couchtrippers were attacking him over his position on Iran... The boy needs some re-edumacating! It was a good show though, with an especially great call right at the end. Listen out.

Most of this evening's show was taken up by discussion of Margaret Thatcher's visit to Downing Street -  there were some high-quality calls filled with the type of bile that only she can muster from otherwise normal people. The musical theme was David Bowie.

Standing in for Jon Gaunt, this morning's show brought in the usual daytime listeners with their mix of impotent rage against foreigners and general block-headed nonsense. Getting an argument out of that lot is like shooting fish in a barrel!

talkSPORT - Monday the 10th of September -

09/09/07 10:10pm

Tonight's show was supposed to be about the Madeleine McCann case, but talkSPORT seem to have blocked discussion of it... the show focused mainly on boxing instead, and there was a great call from 'Karl from Plaistow' in which he attacked Galloway's position quite vociferously. Good on the old boy!

talkSPORT - Sunday the 9th of September -

The Attacks on 9/11 were the main focus of tonight's show, with Galloway supporting the idea that nothing untoward happened and that it was a simple case of angry terrorists crashing hijacked planes into the two main symbols of capitalism in America without any interference from their air-force. That's not my opinion though...

08/09/07 01:20am

A lot of tonight's show was given over to discussion of Osama Bin 'bogey man' Laden after his new video release today. there was also a good bit of attention paid to the Madeleine McCann case, with the news today that both parents have been put in the frame...

With a return to talkSPORT on Sunday evenings this show got particularly interesting in the second hour as discussion was about the imbalance in Family Courts in regards to giving fathers access to their children. Some pretty emotive anecdotes for sure...

I haven't had the chance to listen to tonight's show, but the general gist I got from editing was that the main discussion was about gambling (with the new laws being enabled in the UK). The musical theme remained with Prince - Batman wasn't played though, meh!
