1:10am Tonight's
show was again from New Zealand and it provided a few choice
moments - there was some interesting discussion about Pakistan,
while Galloway's bombat about unions and the postal system in
Britain was a tasty accompaniment to a recipe for Anzac
biscuits...

1:19am Coming
live from New
Zealand tonight's show was a good listen. With the first
opportunity for callers to show support after the Parliament
situation on Monday this week it started with the obvious calls
of support but soon developed into a show that was well worth
hearing. Gawd bless those Kiwis with their fancy technology...

pm Here's
the video of Galloway in Parliament in his attempt to answer to
the call for his suspension. It's a bit annoying at points as
the speaker continually interrupts, finally culminating in
Galloway being removed. A bad day for democracy indeed.

1:24am As
the volcano gets ready to erupt in the Commons on Monday this
show was one to behold. Many people with great comments and also
some great jokes about Bush's surgery. 'The surgeon says to
George Bush, 'We found some graffiti in your anus' - it says
'Tony was here'... brilliant. .

1:15am No
prizes for guessing that the main focus for tonight's show was
the decision to suspend Galloway from Parliament. Also mentioned
has been Bush's surgery tomorrow and the thought that Cheney
will be in control along with the situation with Russia and the
expelled diplomats. I messed up the recording tonight and my
high-quality one only had one channel, so this link is to the
SpideredNews version that sounds ok.

Well
the cats seem about to be set amongst the pigeons with news that
Galloway is apparently to be suspended from Parliament for
'bringing the House into disrepute'.. Also taking a big moment
on the show was the call from Andrew Gilligan. Another great
show for the archive...

In
the week when Galloway got a really glowing review in the New
Statesman there seemed little doubt that he would enjoy the
moment in this new cultural sun, and rightly so. But that news
was probably eclipsed by the news that Christopher Hitchens had
written a glowing article about Saddam Hussein in the 70s. The
woman caller who phoned to talk about the Interpal deal with
Kettering Town FC was dealt with harshly I thought though - how
was she to know that the team was sponsoring the charity instead
of the other way round, as is the norm? All in all a good
show...

On the day of the largest
Orange parade in Scotland there was a fair amount of calls from
Scottish callers, and while few of them had much to say about
that event itself there was an interesting (unique?) aside with
two Glaswegian Catholics discussing sympathy for the IRA amongst
themselves while Galloway listened.
