Tonight's show
was a fairly serious affair with most discussion about what
looks like a terrorist attack on Glasgow Airport today.

Tonight's show
was a welcome return to the kind of show I enjoy. A good mix of
callers given good time to talk and not as much music and
trivia...

You know, it's
becoming more and more difficult to find a particular theme to
the shows recently; they're becoming more and more random in
their content, and I've a feeling the musical interludes are
affecting that. Anyway, it was good to hear Diane from Finchley
back on the air again, though I wasn't impressed with Galloway's
almost immediate reference back to her past-lives as it's
more than clear that he doesn't like being constantly
reminded of some comments he's made in the past... I missed the
first (and maybe second) ad break but the rest are cleared...

A good range of
calls tonight on a variety of subjects, including a great and
passionate one from Jean (?) from Liverpool about Blair becoming
a Catholic. There was a short mention of Bernard Manning's death
this week, which I thought would have been covered in more
detail... maybe the daily show on Sky is costing George in terms
of relevant topics? Hardly anyone watches the tv show in
comparison to the listeners to talksport, so I hope he bears
that in mind.

I haven't
listened to the first two hours of tonight's show and I must
admit that there was a slight buzzing sound in my ears as I
heard the final one... that's probably more down to the Guinness
than anything else though... the picture above is from Lebanon.

I found tonight's
show to be a lot more entertaining than I have for a while.
Maybe it was the fact it was only 2hrs tonight and I didn't have
to sit pausing and messing about to get it uploaded, but I think
it's more down to it having been just a generally upbeat show.
June 1967 really did sound like a brilliant month for pop-music,
that's the feeling I'm left with tonight. And I don't think
that's a bad thing at all. I missed the first couple of minutes
and the editing for the first ad break...

There wasn't a
huge amount of consistency in tonight's show, but the general
bollocks of Paris Hilton's jail-sentence came up a few times...
I also managed to miss a few sections as I forgot to
unclick the pause button, apologies for that.

The celebration
of The Beatles continued tonight with more of a focus on John
Lennon. It wasn't a particularly strong show tonight, and I'm
sure I'm not the only one to have noticed how much the live
shows in Edinburgh and Glasgow were plugged... and was George
being 'disingenuous' to say that he lived in a small flat?

On the 40th
anniversary of the release of the classic Beatles album
'Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' the show tonight had
a good feel. Also mentioned a fair bit has been the Tony Blair
farewell tour of the world at the country's expense... the show
was only 2 hours tonight.
