Parliament - Monday the 26th of February

26/02/07 1:48pm

Today's show in which Galloway stood in for Gaunt was a fairly mixed bag of topics. There were also a few technical issues which meant dead air a few times... hardly a brilliant show all in, but it was interesting to hear the BNP member phone in with his attempt at saying "we're nice really!"

There was a good amount of chat about the demonstration yesterday and its meaning in tonight's show and also a few comments about Hazel Blears. As you can see in the pic, even if she is only 4'10 as Galloway seems to make a meal of, she can still ride a bike! It's a Yamaha XV535 Virago if you're interested, which is designed for smaller riders. Thanks to Bat for that tidbit.

Here's last night's show. It was based mainly on the events at the anti-Trident/War demonstrations in Glasgow and London.

No Trident Demo - Saturday the 24th of February

24/02/07 1:47am

Most of tonight's show is taken up with discussion of the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Many callers seem upset by Galloway's assertion that it's Blair that is to be blamed rather than the troops - and there was finally one who admitted that he'd see other people's sons sent to die, but not his own family. That line took a few weeks to get a bite.

21/02/07 1:40am

The first hour of tonight's show has some interesting talk about Bangladesh. I'd never really heard anything about the place before this, so it was good to learn a bit about it.

talkSPORT - Tuesday the 20th of February -

20/02/07 1:50am

The first hour of tonight's show focused on the state of the NHS, but later the show turned to a much more interesting debate about the use of drugs in society. Some great lines and callers.

talkSPORT - Monday the 19th of February -

18/02/07 11:45pm

The first hour of tonight's show is given over to discussion of the youth drinking culture and the state of the UK parliament. The second hour is given over to talk about Venezuela. Thanks to my brother for the recording.

I've not listened to this show yet, but nekokate's mention at the end was cool.

talkSPORT - Saturday the 17th of February -

17/02/07 1:45am

Most of tonight's show was given over to discussion of the UNICEF report that reveals that Britain and America were the bottom 2 countries on a scale of child-poverty amongst developed nations. Diane from Finchley's assertion that Yogic Flying could help to lower crime rates was most notable...

talkSPORT - Friday the 16th of February -

13/02/07 1:10am

Here's Galloway on Sky News reviewing tomorrow's newspapers. The most surprising part is that the journalist presenting the programme is the one whose head he figuratively ripped off in the infamous Sky News interview from last summer... thanks to PaintDry for the tip about the show being on.

SKY News - Monday the 12th of February

11/02/07 10:30pm

A good part of the early show tonight is given over to discussion with Rene Carayol, a "charismatic black man" as described by Galloway... There's also a good amount of time given over to various conspiracies, though they are nearly all swiftly rejected, with the notable exception of the assassination of Robert Kennedy.

talkSPORT - Sunday the 11th of February -

11/02/07 1:05pm

Most of Saturday's show is taken up with discussion about Barack Obama, the prospective presidential candidate for the American Democratic party.

talkSPORT - Saturday the 10th of February -

10/02/07 01:15am

A fair amount of the early show was given over to remembrance of the actor Ian Richardson who died today (seen in the picture with Michael Elphick), while the last two hours are mainly given over to discussion of the situation in Venezuela.

There was no full show from Caracas tonight due to technical problems, but here's the 20 minute section that he phoned in with to the James Max show. Thanks to nekokate for making this file available
