Here's a program that does it really well and for free.

it's called "SUPER" - DOWNLOAD

if the link doesn't work, go here and look at the bottom of the page for download links

For the Mac users (you lonely bunch wave), try iSquint. I tried a bunch of different formats for conversion and the program converted them all. It converts to MP4 only, which can be viewed on iTunes, QuickTime, VLC, and on iPods among other devices.

I've changed this thread title as I've looked at this program more and it pretty much converts anything you have to anything you might want.

I doubt it will be any quicker to be honest - it's just more useful for more types of files. Also, I've moved onto Media Coder now rather than Super. I posted a link to that recently.

Are you trying to convert it to Windows Media Video though? That's not the best choice if possible. If you want, upload the real player file to humyo, give me the link and I'll convert it here.

And, for future info, the best way to sort the issue of other things slowing down is to set up the encode overnight if possible, making sure you shut down all other programs (that will speed it up).

im 32% through at the mo... so i may as well stick it out now lol
im gonna crash out soon enough n leave it running...

what format do you suggest for the future, I just presumed that Windows would be more accessible...

i will find that Media Coder link and use in future...
thanx once again

that file is only 7 minutes - so it looks like the upload might have broken before it did the whole show, and that would be a good reason for humyo not to like it.

argh.. after 13 hrsconverting to wmv http://www.humyo.com/F/9507199-1189393809 still not supported..

so basically the prob lies with the original torrent I d/l'd I presume... I will check if its in bitesize pieces cause then it would only be a matter of sticking it on youtube innit?

back to the drawing board lol
