After weeks of mind games and weeks of locking up Ian and holding him captive and then shooting Jane why on earth does he just expect Ian to "get over it"? Why should getting a job and putting up new stock make Ian hold him and forgive all? And furthermore, with this kind of behavior why can't Pat see that he is still having issues?
For once Ian is doing what he should be doing and I see no reason why he should be welcoming Steven back.

Good question. Is he here to stay? He's less cocky now, and admits to his emotional problems. In every scene, Pat can be heard saying to Ian "he's just a screwed up kid." And that sums him up.

I'm glad that Jane stepped up and told the family what really happened to her. Ian was lying with the appendix story but she put a stop to it blurting out that she's not suffering from a burst appendix. Why should she lie? She's got nothing to lose with the truth and I'm kind of surprised that he's not in jail for shooting her. How come Ian drove him to the psych hospital though? Why did Ian let Lucy lie to the police? And if you show up at a hospital with a gunshot wound, wouldn't the hospital necessarily get the police involved?

I'm dying to see how this plays out!

He really is a screwed up kid, but I think Ian's entitled to feel the way he feels. They've been victims of some horrific crimes and mind games.

As much as I feel for him, I have to agree with you Sky in that I think Ian's starting to do exactly what he should.

The whole thing about Steven absolutely grates on my nerves. For crying out loud, he kidnapped Ian and held him hostage!! Not to mention the gunshot Jane incurred?!?!

What part of "stay away from me and my family" doesn't Steven understand? Unless he is psychotic and truly doesn't understand the consequences of his actions.

Whilst I'm on the subject, Lucy deserves a slap herself. I do not understand why she'd want to even speak with Steven after what she witnessed, but she seems to be a little sociopathic herself.

Let us not forget that it was our little sociopath Lucy who put the gun into the mix in the first place by asking her brother to dispose of it. Ya think she'd feel even a tinge of responsibility? Nah, didn't think so.

You're both so right. She's a nasty little bitch to say the least. Even trying to help Steven out by getting him the keys to her dad's car so he can sleep in it! After he held him captive. She's not even ashamed of what he has done.
And if I have to hear Steven tell Ian one more time that it's his family too! Mad I wasn't surprised either that he had destroyed his own stall. Of course Pat doesn't seem at all upset and disturbed by it. The kid obviously needs his meds.

Laughing I know what you mean Aja. I know if I was in the counseling setting I would be reacting to this so differently. But right now I'm just irritating with the little git and the "responsible" adults in his life Laughing
And I have to agree, most of the writers were social workers or maybe anti-social.

Erm, Stacey missed her chance to alert someone of Steven's little episode in the garage. I know she wants to show him that he does have a friend, but she can't be around him 24/7. If he is capable of snapping and setting someone's business on fire, he is capable of doing a lot worse, as if shooting Jane wasn't bad enough. He needs help for sure. That was scary. I haven't seen tonight's eppie, but I'm sure Steven won't be getting the help he needs anytime soon. What fun would that be? LOL!! We need to be entertained a bit more....LOL!!

His facial expressions creep me out. Whew, I thought it was just me. Are they making him scowl like that to make us think he's depressed and mean? He's just not allowed to break into a smile.

He creeps me out too, antonia. But I must say the actor is doing his job well --- I've worked with many individuals who have had psychiatric illnesses and he's doing it well.
