I don't know how I missed this one but thanks Face. I am adding the book to my list and am eager to read more about the thoughts and struggles of the woman who provided places for the dying to leave this world in shelter rather than on the streets. I had read somewhere that when encouraged to furnish her hospices with wall to wall carpets, she declined, saying that time spent keeping the carpets clean is better spent on bathing and caring for those who are dying. I wish I knew the exact quote, but it has helped me personally in times when I've needed to stay focused and on task.
