does anyone know of a bit of software that will convert a .vob video file into a .wmv or other format?

If you only have a vob file, I'm not sure. But assuming it's on a dvd, you'd have to "rip" it using one of the tools here.

I don't think it's not as straightforward as converting a single video file from one format to another. But hopefully those tools (and tutorials) should help.

(The shorter distance between two points might be finding it on a torrent site. Just sayin'.)

I think sorenson squeeze would do it. If it doesn't then no one will.

pricey though ...

thanks Smile i'll check out the various software and see what works, i already tried some that i found on a thread faceless posted but one didn't work and the other just seemed to copy the .vob file to the hard drive

unfortunately i can't just grab it from a torrent site, its for a site i'm doing and the content is eeexxxccclusive. and boring. its someone preparing a three course meal Laughing
