'The news raider' becomes the man who gets behind the stories of the day... literally
He was the mystery man who become an internet sensation after making a series of uninvited appearances on live TV news.
South London's Paul Yarrow has become the topic of internet speculation after being identified as the 'fat guy who wants to be on television'.
He has been in the background of dozens of news broadcasts around London, as well as Antiques Roadshow and the BBC website.

The website fidgetwith.com has taken to cataloguing his appearances. The most recent took place yesterday.
Even more curious is that he appears almost exclusively wearing a bone-coloured crew neck sweater. He is often talking on the phone and in some appearances is looking nonchalant reading a newspaper.
The locations are diverse, stretching from Peckham to Westminster and Hyde Park.

Bloggers identified him after Fidgetwith put out a call to name the man otherwise known as 'The News Raider' or, less kindly 'that fat bloke who wants to be on TV'.
A Paul Yarrow applied to appear on Big Brother 2010, saying he was 'currently known as the fat guy who wants to be on television' and is 'very well known in south London, working in the voluntary sector'.

The start of the mainstream attention came late last year when he was referred to on BBC show Russell Howard's Good News.
The South London Press confirmed Mr Yarrow was a well-known 'Good Samaritan' from Bermondsey who used to work as a Defence Ministry security escort. He has been nominated for local Community Champion, Good Samaritan and Carer of the Year awards.
