I love these guys. People get stroppy because they occasionally expose how certain effects are done, but it's only ever stuff that's old and stale, never pioneering stuff.

I love Penn & Teller. They are a wonderful pair. I also loved their show "Bullshit" that was on Showtime. I like the way they work to expose the truth when others don't want to.

I recently downloaded their Bullshit series (1) and have quite enjoyed it. It seems over the years that the one who speaks has got more and more loud, while also becoming less and less funny!

I also loved their Bullshit series. Have you seen the one where Penn Jillette goes on a rant about the Dalai Lama that George Galloway would be proud of?

This video of them showing some neat sleight of hand moves is also one of my faves:

I was shunned by many members of the magic circle in the UK for working with these guys when they first hit the UK.

What a majority of magicians didn't see (to their own detriment) was that almost all of the 'exposure' was itself a trick / illusion playing upon how the layman thought the routine was done.

Quite a few 'Pro-Magicians' had egg on their faces when it came to light that P&T were indeed not only fooling the public but many magicians too.

Kate, there are two books by them that are worth reading, perhaps not for any 'Magic' but more attitude & style...

You and I need to talk, hehe. What do you think to my recent videos? I think I'm getting better. I'm only interested in card magic, though, no cups balls or coins or anything like that - I'm purely obsessed with playing cards.

That's very true. Infact, the technique "revealed" on the first video is not how a standard "sawwing-person-in-half" illusion is done, to the best of my knowledge.

I'll definitely look up their books. I've been immersing my self in SW Erdnase and Royal Road lately. That and vodka.

You were wrong with the 3 of Clubs, however - I was thinking of my National Insurance card.
