that's just fantastic Kate - really good. If you wanted I'm sure you could make plenty money at this professionally. I see you've a black jersey on - that's one step further to being a magician!

I've been comfortable handling/shuffling cards for a few years, because I play Hold-Em poker quite often, but I've been learning card magic for about 6 months.

Here's a wee trick I just saw - I'm sure it's obvious to anyone with a basic understanding of the kind of outlandish science it would take to do this what is happening... personally speaking, it's clearly magic!

Here's another installment for people who are interested. A bit of close-up stuff.

some more great stuff there - keep it going and you could make a nice living out of it without a doubt.

I take it you know about Jerry Sadowitz's magic? He did a great show a few years back about the history of magic that was great. One story he told was about how some performer on a platform at Glasgow Central station timed a trick to absolute perfection. He forced the audience member to pick a particular card, which he had already arranged for his friend at the London Euston to attach to the front of a train - and as it pulled into the station the guy points to the front of the train and asks 'Is this your card'

Bit elaborate, but a beauty!

Yes! I love Jerry Sadowitz! A lot of people don't know that he's actually one of the best sleight of hand magicians in the world and he's invented and copyrighted lots of effects - they just think he's a loud-mouth who occasionally does a trick.

I've seen a lot of variations of that trick you mentioned - it's based on a principle called "card-through-window", but the same technique can be used with an accomplice plastering the card to anything, even a train! It's actually surprisingly easy to "force" a card on someone and have them truly believe they chose it randomly - which is a great move because even if you do the most simple reveal afterwards, it'll still blow their mind Smile

Getting back to the drinks trick, I thought I guessed how the 1st half was done, but then when he poured the drinks back to every cup I gave up. Happy for anyone to PM me how it was done Smile
