I tried and failed dismally on this recipe. it tasted great but it was not a pretty sight, crusty in some spots but not so much in others. I'm sure i did something wrong, maybe the incorrect pan? It was really good though, it had a little bit of a nutty flavor and my husband and I loved the flavor.
appearance-wise it was a wreck but I had an epiphany. I think one day I'll make it again, but after i take it out of the oven I'll crumble it and serve a scoop of a real rich vanilla ice cream on the warm chunky, crusty crumbly pieces. My mouth is watering thinking about the warm cake melting the ice cream on top of it. Yummm! |

Not sure antonia. But maybe it was the wrong pan. I just used a standard bundt.
However, I do like your variation idea and will have to give that a try as well. Yum! |
