Letitia Dean is making her comeback on Strictly Come Dancing
The blonde actress, 39, famous as Dirty Den’s “princess” Sharon Rickman, quit the BBC1 soap in January 2006. But despite BBC chiefs saying she was only taking a short break, Letitia has not yet returned to the show.
Grief-stricken Sharon was last seen leaving Walford after her husband Dennis (Nigel Harman) was killed on the orders of gangster Johnny Allen. He died after being stabbed by Johnny’s henchman Danny Moon — days after Sharon discovered she was pregnant. Pauline Fowler (Wendy Richard) announced that Sharon had given birth to a baby boy called Dennis in July 2006. However, Sharon did not return for Pauline’s funeral six months later.
Letitia is a trained dancer who was a pupil at Sylvia Young Theatre School. Last night, a source said: “Tish has taken a year off but she aims to make a big splash with her TV comeback.”

It would be good to see her doing something different than Sharon. The last little bit of her stay on EE was so depressing. |

One bit of advice I heard about having kids is "If you wait to have kids until you can afford it, you'll never have them". |

I've often wondered what she's like in real life--- I don't picture her as being so moody and like her character was on EE. But any marriage breakup is sad and I really do hope they can work things out, if that's truly what's best. |

Very sad news indeed. Men need to get over their hangups about being the major money earner and just be more grateful that equality in pay and opportunities are finally coming to women. She seems like she'd be a great mom but I'd still like to see her back on EE. |

They couldn't afford a baby? If they couldn't not a lot of people can - that's a bit of a ridiculous point to make!! I am sure that is not true - and at 39 you can't really wait for that much longer! |
