Ian Beale's Ronnie obsession

LIFE STYLE EXTRA (UK) - 'EastEnders' chip shop owner, Ian Beale, will develop an obsession with Ronnie Mitchell's breasts. The new Mitchell sister - played by sexy blonde star Samantha Janus - arrived in Albert Square this week and is set to leave Ian transfixed after he catches sight of her half-naked.
A soap insider said: "It's very much played for laughs. Viewers will love the banter between the Mitchell sisters and Ian, even though he'll come over as a bit of a pathetic lech. He gets such an eyeful that he becomes sexually entranced." Chip shop owner Ian - played by Adam Woodyatt - recently wed his girlfriend Jane, but that doesn't stop him becoming obsessed by Ronnie's comely curves.
Samantha joins the soap alongside fellow blonde actress Rita Simons, who plays her sister Roxy. The pair arrived in Walford for their cousin Phil's doomed wedding to Stella, having previously been living in Ibiza, running a nightclub. Samantha and Rita have both said they would love to see British Hollywood star Bob Hoskins join the show's cast as their father. Rita said: "I've always wanted him to be my dad."

| That sounds like it should be funny. However, I have been a bit disappointed that EE did another reboot. Phil saves Peter's life, Ian is all grateful to Phil, puts Billy out on the stall, then suddenly is totally against Phil again before the whole Stella thing even comes to light. BAH! |

This should be good for a few laughs! I do love it when Ian's a bit dopey...and any time he can be embarassed makes me chuckle.  |

Are we to think that future episodes are going to be so boring that they have to be perked up with this crap? Or are the writers developing or expanding the Mitchell cousins' reputations as Bad Girls at Ian's expense?
Either way, I smell slapstick comedy! |

having watched the show tonight I thought it was a complete pile of dreck. That's right, dreck!
The scene where Beale was supposed to be enraptured was just pish. And later in the show the scene where Sean is caught stealing the beer barrel - thus leaving him open to 'abuse' by these new sisters was so pathetic I could hardly cringe for puking. He's supposed to be a smart guy and yet decides to risk being arrested in BROAD DAYLIGHT by loading a beer keg into a can that's parked outside the pub? AAAARRRRGH!!! Why didn't they wheel that shopping trolley down the street and out the way? Oh wait, they simply wanted the opportunity for Sean to be embarassed by a woman and chose a fantastically crap way to do it... silly me. |

I had the same thought as well. I figured she was going to do something to Sean because of the rent. I would have liked that a lot more. |
