Joan of Arc

I'm sure any of you who listen to the show regularly will have heard the woman who says she is Joan of Arc reincarnated phoning in. Of course it's very hard to take that part of what she says seriously and at first I was fairly turned off by her comments, while still being entertained, but her points regarding other levels of perception and by dint, worth, have been very interesting. She is obviously well trained in esoteric thought and I'd like to hear more...

Well, I've never heard her, but I can imagine, anyone who thinks they're Joan of Arc would add an interesting aspect to any program

I noticed that in yesterday's show she was given a small chance, but was soon faded... I got the impression the producer had been waving frantically while shouting in Galloway's earpiece - "the mid morning listeners on talksport are freaking out man!"

I'm not a fan of hers by any means. Nor should Galloway encourage what can only be described as delusional thinking. I'm several talkSPORT episodes behind, but during one episode she made comments about people "knowing their position" and not trying to reach beyond it. I believe this was loosely tied to the discussion about £50 mil bonuses.

This sort of logic does not go down well with me.

I think her point was more that people should understand their own strengths and weaknesses, rather than to not have aspirations per se. As an example, if someone can't sing then they should be aware of that and not go on shows like X-Factor and make complete arses of themselves. If they "knew their position" they'd be self-aware enough to know that they weren't good enough, surely?

In the context, I thought she was actually arguing in favour of some people being "higher beings" than others. It sounded to me like she was suggesting some people deserve £50 mil bonuses, while most people don't.

Perhaps I got my lines crossed. I'll have to go back and listen to it again.

I agree with you and was parphrasing how I understood her comments.

Nobody deserves a £50 mil bonus. Heck, I have a problem with multi-million $ sallaries. I think they send the wrong message. (1 executive is worth ~100 "ordinary" workers.)
