Tonight's show was another good one, with an excellent guest in the form of Jim Reardon, a 'communist spy' who played for Spartak Moscow. The rest of the show was mainly about smoking and drinking, with one call from a man who is dying from liver-disease which put the whole situation in perspective...

talkSPORT - Saturday the 24th of May  

It wasn't the usual Saturday night free-for-all this evening, with some intresting discussions about euthanasia, the Crewe by-election and someone called Derek Obama... I've noticed that Galloway is shying away from the 'Hail Hail' comments that some callers are making - probably a good thing, considering how bad-tempered some Rangers fans can be - and especially since Celtic won the league on Thursday... Hail Hail!

An entertaining show again tonight with a good range of topics - most notable for me being the Nimrod planes that the RAF use, which a coroner suggested weren't fit to fly. GG was delighted to welcome on the show a 'Wing Commander' leading to a fairly hearty discourse...

Tonight's show had a lot less music and adverts in than usual, so there was more chance for talk... no bad thing. The featured topics were GTA IV the NHS and global-warming.

The main themes of tonight's show were WWII bombing against Germany (on the anniversary of the 'Dambusters' raid) and the rioting by hundreds of Rangers fans in Manchester this week. Check the sports section in the forum for more info and video on that...

talkSPORT - Saturday the 3rd of May  

A return to the normal 'Mother of all Talk Shows' was what I was looking forward to, but it was a pretty bland show to be honest. I was hoping for a more organised and planned show on the return after 6 weeks, but when Galloway said 'I'll think of a prize for the competition during the show' it pretty much set the tone...

talkSPORT Election Special - Friday the 2nd of May  

It wasn't a full Galloway show tonight, rather an 'Election Special' presented by Ian Collins with Galloway and Steven Norris (the last tory contender for Mayor of London) in the studio discussing the London elections. Galloway is back with his normal show tomorrow night.
